Buddhist Journey Tour

The Buddhist Journey Tour India is a fantastic way to see some of the most amazing Buddhist sites in India. The tour takes in some of the most sacred sites in Buddhism, including Bodhgaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Sravasti, Lumbini, Nalanda, Rajgir. Tour Itinerary

01 Day 01 : Delhi Arrival
Arrival at Airport or Railway station Delhi, Company representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Delhi. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free. overnight stay at hotel.

02 Day 02 : Delhi
After Breakfast, Start Sightseeing Tour Of Delhi. In Old Delhi, Visit Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk. Enjoy Lip Smacking Lunch In Local Restaurant. Later Start Sightseeing Of New Delhi Which Includes India Gate, Rastrapati Bhawan, Humuyuns Tomb, Qutub Minar. Overnight Stay At Delhi Hotel.

03 Day 03 : Lucknow
Early morning, transfer to New Delhi railway station to board Shatabadi Exp. train for Lucknow. Shatabadi Exp. leaves Delhi at 0615 and arrive Lucknow at 1330. upon arrival in Lucknow, meet our company representative he will assist for hotel check in . Later leave for walk in the market of Lucknow, which is very famous. overnight stay at Lucknow.

04 Day 04 : Lucknow
Breakfast and you will visit the Residency complex- site of the famous siege of 1857. Later in afternoon, you will visit monuments of Avadh Nawabs including famous Imambaras, Romi Darwaja and explore Lucknow's colourful Markets and don't forget taste delicious food. come back to the hotel. overnight stay at Lucknow.

05 Day 05 : Lucknow - Sravasti
Early in the morning, you will drive to Sravasti. Check in hotel. Later in afternoon, you will visit Sravasti where Lord Buddha passed the greater part of his monastic life and preached after the enlightenment. Also visit Ananda Bodhi tree where Lord Buddha meditated for a night later visit Jetavan where Lord Buddha performed some miracle. overnight stay at Sravasti.

06 Day 06 : Sravasti - Lumbini
After breakfast, you will drive to Lumbini. reach Lumbini and Check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free. overnight stay at Lumbini.

07 Day 07 : Lumbini
Breakfast in hotel, you will visit the birth place of Lord Buddha - Lumbini. you will visit Lumbini Park where the Ashok Pillar carries the inscription - the Buddha was born. later, you will visit Mayadevi temple devoted to the mother of Lord Buddha which houses a stone picture of giving birth to Lord Buddha. now, visit China temple which is beautiful pagoda style temple. overnight stay at Lumbini.

08 Day 08 : Lumbini - Kushinagar
Breakfast, you will leave to Kushinagar. Check in at hotel, Kushinagar. Later in afternoon drive by car for city sightseeing of Kushinagar, the major Buddhist pilgrimage destinations where Lord Buddha attained Parinirvana or final Nirvana. visit ancient stupas and modern temples, commemorating the Buddha's death and cremation. Visit the Buddha Statue. overnight stay at Kushinagar.

09 Day 09 : Kushinagar - Patna
Breakfast in hotel, you will drive to Patna. on the way visit Vaishali, Lord Buddha preached his last sermon. you will visit Ashok Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashok to commemorate the spot of the last sermon. reach Patna and check in at the hotel. overnight stay at Patna.

10 Day 10 : Patna - Bodhgaya via Nalanda and Rajgir
Breakfast in hotel, you will leave to Bodhgaya. on the way visit Nalanda. founded in the 5th century B.C. also visit the Nalanda University seal, sculptures and other remains found on the site. now take drive to Rajgir. you will visit Griddhkuta Hill, Buddha delivered some of his most famous sermons. later on, you visit Saptparni caves where first Buddha Council was held which is also the source of Rajgir's hot springs. later drive to Bodhgaya and Check in at the guest house / hotel. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

11 Day 11 : Bodhgaya
Breakfast, you visit Mahabodhi Temple which includes tall stone lotuses, figures of Buddha sitting in different postures on the walls, his footprints on the stones and The Bodhi Tree is situated in the premises of the temple and Bodhi Tree. Later back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

12 Day 12 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi
Early breakfast in hotel, we will take you to the railway station for your train journey to Varanasi. upon arrival at Varanasi, our representative will meet you and transfer to your hotel. see evening Aarti at Sasumed Ghat on the banks of river Ganges. Overnight stay at Varanasi.

13 Day 13 : Varanasi
Early morning boat ride at Ganges River. you will see how the devout come to bathe and pray. come back to hotel for breakfast. Later in afternoon, drive to Sarnath where the Lord Buddha preached his first discourse, and to see the Stupas, ancient and modern Temples and Ashoka's Pillar. Overnight stay at Varanasi.

14 Day 14 : Delhi
Breakfast and leisure relaxes. Later in afternoon, we will transfer you to the airport to board the flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, meet our representative who will transfer to hotel in Delhi for an overnight stay at Delhi.

15 Day 15 : Delhi Departure
Breakfast, we will drop you to the Airport to board the flight to your country.

Mahabodhi Temple

Kushinagar

Mahaparinirvana Temple
This is where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana (final salvation). The temple houses a serene reclining statue of Buddha and is surrounded by stupas and ancient ruins from the 3rd century BCE.

Sravasti

Jetavana Monastery
Sravasti was one of the most beloved cities of Lord Buddha, where he spent 24 rainy seasons preaching and meditating. The Jetavana Monastery, gifted by the wealthy merchant Anathapindika, became a key spiritual retreat for the Buddha and his followers.

Lumbini

Maya Devi Temple
Though located in modern-day Nepal, Lumbini is just across the Indian border and is an integral part of the Buddhist Circuit in India. It is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became the Buddha. The Maya Devi Temple marks the exact spot where Queen Maya gave birth to the Buddha.

Vaishali was the place where Lord Buddha gave his last sermon before traveling to Kushinagar. It was also where he accepted women into the monastic order, making it historically important for gender equality in Buddhism. Vaishali was a vibrant center for both Buddhism and Jainism.
