Buddhist Tour In India are a great way to learn about Buddhism and see some of the most important Buddhist sites in India. such as Seavasti, Lumbini, Kushinagar, Vaishali, Rajgir, Bodhgaya and Varanasi. The tour takes you to Bodhgaya, where the Buddha attained enlightenment, Sarnath, where he gave his first sermon; and Kushinagar, where he attained nirvana. You'll also visit the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya, the world's oldest Buddhist temple, and the Dhamekh Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist monuments in India. The tour is a great way to learn about Buddhism and its history and to see some of the most important Buddhist sites in India.

Tour Itinerary

01 Day 01 : Delhi Arrival
Arrival at Delhi Airport and meet our representative at the Delhi Airport arrival. Later transfer to the hotel. If you like to go for a half day city sightseeing tour of Delhi or relax in hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.

02 Day 02 : Delhi - Lucknow - Sravasti
Breakfast, driver will take you to airport to board the flight for Lucknow ( option- take train for Lucknow) . on arrival at Lucknow airport meet our representative and drive to Sravasti, this is the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala. reach Sravasti and check in hotel. Later sightseeing tour of Sravasti, you will visit Jetavana and Ananda Bodhi Tree. Overnight stay at hotel.

03 Day 03 : Sravasti - Lumbini
Early breakfast we will drive for Lumbini- the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. on arrival at Lumbini transfer to the hotel. Later visit the Ashoka Pillar. It was built in the year 259BC, by King Ashoka of India. Evening walk among monasteries made by many nationals. Overnight stay at hotel.

04 Day 04 : Lumbini - Kushinagar
Breakfast we will visit Maya Devi Temple, The mother of Lord Buddha, Maya Devi. Later leave to Kushinagar. on arrival transfer to Hotel. Later visit to Monuments of Kushinagar such as Nirvana Temple and Ramabhar Stupa. Overnight stay at hotel.

05 Day 05 : Kushinagar - Vaishali - Rajgir
Breakfast drive for Rajgir via Vaishali. In vaishali visit Ashoka Pillar, Buddha stupa and Shanti stupa. Later drive to Rajgir. on the way you will visit the ruins of Nalanda University. Founded in the 5th Century A.D. on arrival at Rajgir check in hotel. Overnight stay at Rajgir.

06 Day 06 : Rajgir - Bodhgaya
Today morning you will go for sightseeing of Rajgir. Lord Buddha spent many months of retreat during the rainy season here, and use to meditate and preach on Gridhakuta Hill. Also you will see the monastery of Venuvana Vihar built by King Bimbisara for Lord Buddha to reside. Later afternoon leave to Bodhgaya. On arrival check in hotel. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

07 Day 07 : Bodhgaya
After Breakfast you have full day excursion to Bodhgaya and Gaya. you will be visit Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River, and Sujata Temple And many other significant temples. and his footsteps carved in stone hold flower offerings from the devout. you will visit several Buddhist temples built by the followers of Buddhism from all over the world. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

08 Day 08 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi
Early breakfast you will drive to Varanasi. on the way visit to Sarnath. the Lord Buddha delivering his first sermon after attaining enlightenment 2500 years ago. this is about 10 km from Varanasi and a number of Buddhist sites such as famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy 'Buddha'. Also visit the ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandhakuti Temple, Lord Buddha is said to have rested and meditated while in Sarnath. The Ashoka Pillar built by the emperor Ashoka is a must see in Sarnath. Later drive to Varanasi. on arrival check in hotel. Evening we will take you to the river ghat to have the glimpse of evening aarti. come back to hotel Overnight stay at Varanasi.

09 Day 09 : Varanasi - Delhi
Early morning leave for boat on River Ganges visit all the Ghats. come back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast transfer to the Varanasi Airport to board the flight for Delhi or home.

Kushinagar

Mahaparinirvana Temple

Sravasti

Jetavana Monastery
Sravasti was one of the most beloved cities of Lord Buddha, where he spent 24 rainy seasons preaching and meditating. The Jetavana Monastery, gifted by the wealthy merchant Anathapindika, became a key spiritual retreat for the Buddha and his followers.

Lumbini

Maya Devi Temple
Though located in modern-day Nepal, Lumbini is just across the Indian border and is an integral part of the Buddhist Circuit in India. It is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became the Buddha. The Maya Devi Temple marks the exact spot where Queen Maya gave birth to the Buddha.
